My recent trip to Barcelona, Spain…

During spring break, April 11-18, I went to Barcelona with a few classmates and my spanish teacher! It was the most amazing experience of my life. If I had the chance to do it again, I definitely would. It was the chance of a lifetime and I’m glad I took it. So, we left on April 11 and drove to Toronto, from which we took an 8 hour plane ride to Frankfurt, Germany. We spent the day wandering around the central square:

and around 5 in the even we took a quick hour and a half flight to Barcelona. Arriving there and seeing the white sand beaches from the airplane and the beautiful, blue Mediterranean was amazing. I didn’t realize it then, but the next week was going to be the busiest week of my life. On sunday, the 13th, we went to the town of Figueras, which was the birthplace of Salvador Dali and we went to a museum that was unbelievable;

After this, we went to the beautiful town of Girona and went up to this beautiful church, which is one of the most famous in the world:

After this, we went back to the hotel, had dinner, and slept! On monday, we went to the La Sagrada Familia (the Church of the Holy Family), which Gaudi started and it still hasn’t finished:

Then we went to Gaudi’s architectural areas, seeing some of the most famous things he ever created:

It was amazing. The next few days we went to some of Gaudi’s homes, the Picasso Museum, Palau de la Musica, where some of the most famous musical artists have performed, went to Tarragona, where the Roman ruins are and had some free time to go to the beach and shop on the La Rambla, which is a 4 mile long strip of sidewalk dedicated to pedestrians to easily get from the center of the city to the beach without bothering with traffic. It was the best experience of my life!

What I Believe In…

I believe in a lot of things, but one things for sure is that for the future I want success. I’m working really hard in high school right now and I think that because I’m a sophomore and everything is going to count from now on that I can’t get bad grades. And I’m not going to. In order to have a good, successful, enjoyable job, I need to be successful. Everyone should remember that. Working hard does have its benefits. It has GREAT benefits. I mean, look at my cousin, Shawn! He’s worked hard his whole life and now he’s super successful and has an amazing job. What could be better than that? Being successful is what I believe in most.
